Meet Dr.Lisa Sistrunk

Updated: Jul 25

Guiding people to “elevate their ordinary” is Dr. Lisa’s life destiny.

Dr. Lisa Sistrunk stands as a woman making a difference in her community.. Eleven years ago, Dr. Sistrunk founded DH Elevation Consulting, dedicated to providing life-coaching services that empower individuals to navigate life's complexities with confidence and clarity. Initially focusing on adults over 30 who had faced various life challenges, the consultancy has since evolved to impact a broader audience, including younger generations and entire communities.

Dr. Sistrunk firmly believes that life is amazing, even on its most challenging days. This optimistic outlook has been the cornerstone of her mission. "What I found was adults who were very disenchanted with the realities of life. Many were very stuck and living unfulfilled," she explains. This realization sparked a desire to change the way adults manage their joy and personal growth. Recognizing the potential to influence future generations, Dr. Sistrunk expanded her services to include coaching for individuals under 30.

By providing a space for clients to quiet the external and internal noise, DH Elevation Consulting helps them discover and hone their own voices, make better decisions, and create healthier relationships. In 2020, Dr. Sistrunk coached her first 12-year-old client, marking a significant milestone in the consultancy’s journey. This experience coincided with the writing of "Her 12th Year: She’s Not So Little Anymore," a coaching guide for raising healthy tween girls, published in 2021. The book was inspired by the process she took her daughter through 16 years earlier when she was 12.

The publication of "Her 12th Year" led to the creation of the I Am Girl Greatness Movement (IAGG), an initiative dedicated to helping young girls become more self-aware and self-accepting. IAGG offers a variety of programs, including a Rights* of Passage Experience, monthly Great Girl Meet-Ups, a National Great Girl Meet-Up, 1-on-1 mentoring, Parent Town Halls, and an annual IAGG calendar. These programs are designed to support girls as they navigate the pivotal stages of adolescence, fostering a sense of empowerment and self-worth.

The life-coaching programs for 16-30 year-olds offered by DH Elevation Consulting are also rooted in the principles of self-awareness and self-acceptance. These programs guide young adults through the various transitions to adulthood, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive. Additionally, Dr. Sistrunk supports the families, organizations, and communities that nurture young girls and young adults, creating a network of care and encouragement.

In the past five years, DH Elevation Consulting has further expanded its impact by adding a professional services area. This division provides software application training, leadership development, and human skills training, enhancing the professional capabilities of clients across various industries. This holistic approach to personal and professional development ensures that clients receive comprehensive support as they pursue their goals.

Dr. Sistrunk is blessed to work alongside her husband, who serves as the training director. Together, they witness the profound connections their clients make with themselves, their parents, and their world. "It is humbling to watch the connections our clients have with themselves, their parents, and their world as a result of trusting us to journey with them," Dr. Sistrunk reflects.

Through its diverse range of programs and commitment to personal growth, DH Elevation Consulting continues to elevate lives across generations. Whether through life-coaching for young adults, empowerment programs for young girls, or professional training services, DH Elevation Consulting remains dedicated to helping individuals and communities achieve their fullest potential.
